David Benson

Husband, father, and occasional HR Professional with experience in Leadership & Organisational Development, Talent & Resourcing, HR Business Partnering, Coaching, and Change Management. After gaining 7 years experience in the Financial Services sector I then joined the not-for-profit, International Development sector working for a truly remarkable INGO in a number of senior HR/OD positions, and ultimately harmonising HR activities and standards across 84 countries and 14 organisations. In 2011 I joined one of the UK's leading social housing companies as their Head of HR Strategy, Policy and Organisational Design with responsibilty for an awful lot of HR activity from Employee Assissatnce Programmes to Leadership Development (via policies on snow, performance management, coaching programmes, and compensation & benefits). I'm also a lover of snowboarding, scuba diving, and trekking up hill & down dale. Self confessed geek, with previous form as a Computer Scientist who realised he was far better with people than technology. I've done some stuff that has been published which you might find interesting, including some work on Talent Management for People in Aid, a profile in People Management magazine and a case study with SHL.
