David Thurmond DVM

An established veterinarian and financial professional, Dr. David Thurmond runs two successful businesses. As President of LegacyTree Financial Group, Dr. David Thurmond oversees daily operations, including marketing and strategy design. He provides retirement and college planning consultations as well as buy-sell agreements for multi-doctor practices. A licensed life insurance agent, Dr. David Thurmond promotes the Bank-on-Yourself / Infinite Banking concept, suggesting his clients work to gain control over their wealth. Dr. David Thurmond also owns SouthPaw Pet Services, Inc., which he started in 1999. Over the last 12 years, Dr. David Thurmond has provided relief veterinary services to multiple clinics, with contracts ranging from one to three years. Immediately after college, Dr. David Thurmond served as a Financial Advisor for Marketing and Management Corporation of America. He purchased Aladdin Animal Clinic under V.E.T. Management, Inc. Eventually, Dr. David Thurmond sold the veterinary practice to National PetCare Centers, Inc, and stayed on as the Medical Director before eventually leaving and opening his SouthPaw Pet Services venture. An alumnus of New Mexico State University, Dr. David Thurmond double majored in business administration and animal science, earning both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science. Later, Dr. David Thurmond graduated from Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dedicated to his profession, Dr. David Thurmond holds memberships with the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. In his recreational time, Dr. David Thurmond enjoys coaching sports at his community’s church.
