David "Trip" Triplet

Georgia, United States

Trip has been a student of the game of baseball for over 25 years. He has been a teacher of the game for over 12 years.

Student of the Game:Being a student of the game started at the early age of 3 for Trip and he hasn't stopped since. Like most youth of the game Trip started in recreation baseball at the local park across from his neighborhood. From there he went on to play varsity for his local high school, then to a couple of colleges. After college ball he then began his professional carrier. First starting with an independent team know as the Laredo Broncos based out of Laredo, TX. From there he was picked up by another independent team call the Windy City Thunderbolts near the Chicago, IL. area. After time with the Windy City gang he then took on an adventure in a new independent league that was trying to form in his home state of Georgia, and thus he became a Macon Pine-topper. After many talks with the Red Sox's organization a curve ball from nowhere came and Trip was signed by the New York Yankees for their farm system. After having hip surgery at the end of his stint with the Yankees system Trip decided to give his pro career one more shot and took off for London, Ontario to join the London Rippers and in the same season became a Brantford Red Sox where he finished his pro career on top with a championship ring and that feeling of glory.

Teacher of the Game: At 16 Trip started teaching throwing, catching, fielding, and hitting basics to a youth camp held at his area batting cages. While at college his teaching experience grew larger as the teams liked to help with the youth of the city and teaching the game of baseball all around. By the ripe age of 21 in between baseball seasons Trip stumbled upon a place that would change his whole perspective of teaching the game. On a visit to a facility for his little brothers travel ball team, Trip and his father walked into the doors of Georgia Pitching Academy. There Trip met Gene Ross, a retired pro pitcher with an electric arm and a head full of stories and knowledge. After the two got together an instant connection was made and Trips thrust for baseball knowledge grew stronger than he would ever imagine.
