Social Media is just a tool.

It contains the potential to create community or further polarize individuals. if used correctly, it can be used to encourage and facilitate collective action for the common good. Mass communication should yield mass inclusion.

Politics is something that can be taken back from the esoteric and the framing of our future debates can be crowd-sourced from the bottom to the top instead of quietly receiving our agenda set from the top.

We are the audience—we have a brain, a heart, and now, we have a voice. At this time more than ever, we are met with a constant need to look inward to decide the contentious issues of the future that will define our communities. New media gives all of us the ability, and moral obligation to frame that conversation for the future.
