David Warner

I'm currently a full time student at Ryerson University studying for my bachelor of journalism. My hopes as a journalist are working in either print or web.

As a large consumer of social media, I strongly approve of journalism's shift to websites like Twitter. The internet in general has given so much opportunity to the medium, and has changed the way readers consume news -- something I embrace with open arms.

One of my main interests (one of which I hope to pursue as I continue to study journalism) is technology and technology news. I've been fortunate enough to live in an era that has seen exponential technological growth and has made the world a more connected place, which I am very grateful for.

My other main interest is music. When I'm not busy reading news or writing a new story, you'll probably find me with headphones on or in a nearby record store. Bands like Tame Impala, Modest Mouse and American Football (to name a select few) are usually at the forefront of my mind.

I look forward to leaving Ryerson University with valuable work experience and discipline comparable to that of the program's many instructors.
