David Wayne Hagler has a degree in marketing from the University of Arkansas, where he was enrolled in the Sam M. Walton College of Business. The college is funded by, and named for, the founder of Wal-Mart. After receiving his degree in 2006 he worked as an independent contractor but was finally hired by Progressive Micro Devices, a small electronics firm in Fayetteville.
