David Welliver

David Welliver received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and Computer Science from The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota. After completing his undergraduate education, David Welliver began his career as a Series 7-licensed stockbroker with a number of prestigious financial organizations, including Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc.; Shearson Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.; Craig-Hallum, Inc.; and Investacorp, Inc. In 2005, David Welliver drew upon his experience in the financial sector to found Dblaine Capital, LLC, an investment firm based in Buffalo, Minnesota. In his first years as the Chief Investment Officer of Dblaine Capital, LLC, David Welliver oversaw all features of the company's initial operations, such as obtaining clients, developing marketing materials, and structuring portfolios.

Today, David Welliver controls compliance coordination and portfolio management while utilizing his extensive knowledge of investment advising to provide guidance to the five-year-old company. By researching, screening, and assessing stocks to determine market trends, David Welliver provides continuing oversight of current investments with an eye toward potential pitfalls or profits. When meeting with new clients, David Welliver carefully explains the Dblaine Capital method, describing the screening and internal processes as well as the company's proprietary investment models.

During his time with Dblaine Capital, LLC, David Welliver developed a large cap model called the Dblaine Stock Selection System. Over a three-year period, ending at the close of 2009, the Dblaine Stock Selection System beat the S&P 500 by a yearly average of 15.47% while simultaneously minimizing risk. Because of his efforts during this period, David Welliver received recognition as a Top Performing Manager from the international financial periodical Pension & Investments.

In addition to his work in the financial services sector, David Welliver is currently working toward earning his Master of Business Administration in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.
