Davis Marques
Davis M. Marques holds a Master of Science from Simon Fraser University, a Bachelor of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture, and a Diploma in Building Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. His interests centre on parametric modelling, design workflow and information technology management for architectural design. Mr. Marques is the author of a number of scientific papers on parametric modelling and change management in CAD, and writes about applications of new design technologies to architecture. In professional practice, Mr. Marques was Director of Technology for McCall Design Group and Design Office, and project designer for major commissions including the IBM Centers for e-Business Innovation, Jusco Diado Parkway Shopping Center, Sony Shiabaura/Projectware, and Beijing Finance Center. In addition, Mr. Marques has made extensive contributions of public service as founder and Executive Director of Architecture Radio, national student representative and member of the editorial board of the Canadian Design Research Network.
