Davis Acuff

Charles "Davis" Acuff Jr., 54 yrs, from Lee's Summit, Mo. is a former sales and marketing executive turned freelance digital content creator and writer. His early career took place during the personal computing era of the 1980s-1990s and Davis rode the wave from a simple retail store manager eventually making his way to Executive Director of Marketing at once venerable Compaq Computer Corp. But in the wake of the M&A years that capped the PC era, he found himself wandering and unsure of his future career interests. After working as a music director, studio coordinator/teacher at School of Rock, and later an automobile sales job, he found his love in digital media and photography.

So he became known by "Starz Dave" and his award winning photography grew in its view-share year after year. In just his second year, he garnered over 1 million looks at his artful creations which reflect some of the tragic times he endured in the 2019-2021 years. Having spent nearly a year homeless, he channeled his sometimes angry, often despondent and eternally lonely emotions onto the digital canvas creating some intriguing moments.

Nationally recognized as a portrait and landscape photographer, Davis now makes his home in Lees Summit, Missouri near Kansas City. His clients come to him for portraits, digital marketing advice, consulting, or to buy one of his works.
