Natalie Davis

I was born in Toronto, Canada, and my twin brother and I are the youngest of five children. When we were 11, my mother decided that we should move to Florida, which is where we lived for the next 6 years. After moving back to Toronto and completing high school, I attended Humber College where I studied journalism. For the next several years, I held various positions as a magazine editor, a marketing and PR exec, and even a talent agent. Beneath all the fancy clothes, however, my greatest desire was to throw on my "sensible shoes" and be a teacher in a classroom. After many years of fearfully hesitating ("what if I fail?"; "what if it's too late?"), I decided to silence my inner naysayer, and make a move. So, here I am, in my final year of the Master of Teaching program at OISE----finally wearing my "sensible shoes"---and finally following my dreams!
