Davis entered the real estate business in 1979. After working as a sales associate for four years, he assumed the position of manager for the Belmont office of Hunneman and Company. In 1986 he opened what is now the Cambridge office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage; under his direction it grew to 36 associates and became one of the top five producing offices in that system. In 1992 he was invited to join the Cambridge office of Hammond, where he is senior vice president and residential manager. He also manages the Belmont office for Hammond. He holds the prestigious CBR (Certified Buyer's Representative)and CRB (Certified Real Estate Broker Manager) designations. Davis is very active in the Greater Boston Real Estate Board (G.B.R.E.B.). He served as the 1999 president of its largest division (4,400 members), the Greater Boston Association of Realtors. He is past president of the Cambridge Council of Realtors, former chairman and still member of the board’s Professional Standards committee, and past chairman of the Equal Opportunity Committee. He is a director of The Massachusetts Association of Realtors and a former director of The Greater Boston Real Estate Board. When not working Davis can often be found honing his skills on the golf course or creating a dish in his kitchen. Davis, his wife Tina, and daughter Catharine live in Chestnut Hill.
