I have always been a huge fan of music, specifically old music. Luckily, my family and I enjoy the same genres of music. This summer we went to around 5 concerts and we traveled all the way to the Sphere in Las Vegas and Red Rocks in Colorado to attend some of them. Some of the bands that we saw this summer were The Rolling Stones, Widespread Panic, and Dead and Company. Overall, I have been to Widespread Panic concerts the most. I went to my first one in 2021 and I would guess I have been to around 10 of their concerts since. I also saw Foo Fighters this summer but that was only with my Dad. My favorite concert this summer was Dead and Company in the Sphere. It was my favorite because of how cool the sphere was. It was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Not only do I enjoy listening to music, I also enjoy playing it. I have been playing guitar for roughly six years and drums for almost a year. I have also briefly attempted to play bass guitar. I started playing guitar in my 8th-grade music class. I enjoyed it so much that I went home and bought myself a cheap $50 guitar. I remember getting blisters from how much I would play. I am thankful that I still enjoy this hobby 6 years later. Overall I am very grateful that I got these opportunities and I will always cherish these moments I get to have with my family, especially since not everyone has a family with the same taste in music.
