I have been dabbling in event planning and marketing for a few years on a small scale. One of my postitions required me to plan trips on a very large scale for folks who were here from other countries and I really enjoyed the challege of putting it all together. My next event was a wedding and then planning different work events came natural.

In 2011 a business associate that was opening a bar asked if I would like to book the bands and do the Facebook marketing for his business. How could I turn that opportunity down? I was calling friends that had some very popular bands in the Northern NJ area to see if they would play and then it seemed to take off from their as the perfect part time job.

I have now moved on to a restaurant located on Lake Hopatcong and book the bands, post on their Facebook page, Tweet on Twitter, work with the liquor companies on special events/promos and handle the entertainment calendar.

This is something I would like to do on a larger scale with a local sports team or company and this seems like the place to find that type of opportunity.
