Dawn Robson
Dawn Robson is an experienced editor and corporate communications, marketing and public relations professional. Before becoming marketing director for IMAP, an international organization of M&A advisory firms, she was the managing editor of six weekly newspapers in the coastal resort communities of Maryland and Delaware. Before that, she was the manager of corporate communications for Perdue Farms, Inc., where she was responsible for ensuring the Fortune 500 company’s brand integrity and business goals, while maintaining a consistent "corporate voice" through production of its internal and external communications. This included speech writing senior executives, creating presentation and marketing materials, meeting planning, and directing community relations and corporate giving programs.
Robson graduated summa cum laude from Salisbury University, earning a degree in philosophy (with concentrations in journalism, communications and computer science). Her first job out of college was research associate, and then program manager, for a market research firm specializing in the banking industry. There, she managed corporate cash-management research of middle-market companies. Robson also served as the executive officer of a trade association and the director of new business development for an international trade company. While working in the positions of business, real estate and features editor for a daily newspaper, she earned numerous AP and MD/DC Press Association awards for design and writing.
