Dawn Angelique Roberts is a media relations specialist, motivational speaker, event consultant and founding partner of KD Communications Group, a full service communications firm with offices in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Recognized as one of Philadelphia’s most dynamic public relations professionals, Roberts is known for her leadership skills and passion for the field of communications.
Respected by both clients and colleagues alike, Roberts was recognized by The Philadelphia Tribune newspaper as one of the People to Watch Under 40 and as an Influential African American leader in the community. She was a recipient of the DeAnn White Award for Community Service, presented by the Philadelphia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
Roberts’ warm and gracious demeanor is embodied in her demonstrated passion for her profession. For over ten years, she has taught journalism and public relations courses at various colleges and universities.
She formed KD Communications Group over fifteen years ago with business partner Kellie L. Dutton, after years of specializing in advertising, public relations and marketing for Delaware newspapers and her firm, Jones & Associates, a public relations and marketing firm originally based in Dover, Delaware.
Roberts currently serves as Associate Member Representative for the National Association of Black Journalists, board member and social media coordinator for the National Black Public Relations Society, board member and former president of the Philadelphia Chapter of NBPRS, and member of the Public Relations Society of America, the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists, and the Philadelphia Public Relations Association.
A Philadelphia native, Roberts graduated from Delaware State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism. Her enthusiasm, engaging personality, and leadership skills are at the forefront of her professional success. She truly believes that all things are possible with Christ in her life.
Roberts currently resides in Delaware with her husband, Wayne E. Roberts and son, Wayne E. Roberts, Jr.
