I am glad I am still living. God saved my life many times in my life. The biggest one was finding out I had a mass on my pancreas. Had a whipple operation, most horrific surgery someone can have, when I had less than a month to live. I thank God for the great doctors who helped my body. Oh yeah, a whipple operation is done because you have pancreatic cancer. Mine is slow growing or I would have died before the doctors would listen to what I was saying.

My goals for myself and hope I can accomplish some of them. I want to help children, especially those in poverty to make crafts and use their imagination to create. What has kept me busy is attempting to obtain a Bachelor in Criminal Justice with concentration in Human Services. As of today, I have 13 classes left, 6 week classes.

Oh yeah, I love the beach and collecting rocks.

I have taught kids who have reading problems to be able to successfully be able to read.

I will write more later.

Three faces I miss dearly. On the left my aunt who lost her battle to breast cancer, my grandma who gave up because her husband was dying of colon cancer, and on the right my mom who lost her battle to colon cancer. Ugly cancer needs to go away and leave my family alone. I am now 53 years old, almost an 8 year survivor of pancreatic cancer. I do have pc tumors in my liver, about 10 of them, and one small one on my right? lung. I plan to keep living.

March 2014 I went to ER, had some kind of infection. A heart doctor noticed my mitral valve was not working, so I had open heart surgery, the most invasive surgery, and the valve was replaced by a pig valve.

I have had to move from Iowa to Florida. I lived in Florida for 22 years before. Now back living with my daughter in case I need help with my health, etc. I am working on changing my medicare extra insurance. In Iowa I had a replacement insurance for medicare. In Florida you have to have a supplement to medicare. The policy is twice as much. I asked the saleman on the phone why are people under 65 penalized? Because we are on some form of disability and we see more doctors. Yip he is right. Now I am fine with that, but my beef is this is not my fault. The government gives a lot of money to NCI, National Cancer Institute. NCI has put most of the money towards breast cancer. Wonderful! My aunt died from it and her sister had breast cancer and is still alive. Money for pancreatic cancer
