Dawn Mann

Dawn Mann is the Founding Principal and Chief Creative Officer of Break of Day Design Ad & PR LLC (BDD) located in Dallas, Texas. Established in January of 2000 BDD is an award winning strategic branding and creative services agency specializing in the global sports, entertainment and arts industries.

With 15 years in the industry Dawn has worked with notables like Actor/Comedian Jonathan Slocumb, Dr. Ian Smith of VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club, Nike USA, Inc, and many others. Strategic branding design has earned this firm two IABC Bronze Quill Awards for design and recognition from Girls Incorporated National. With over 15 years in the business, Dawn’s career path has included working as an art director for Magnolia Media, publishers of Ft. Worth Texas Magazine. Dawn concluded her corporate career in branding for the sports industry as a senior designer for Donruss/Playoff where she developed and designed sports trading cards, sales collateral and point of purchase.

Dawn is also the founder of Creative Thinking Day (Dec.11th) a global initiative to support creative practitioners; Christian Women In Business (CWinB) an entrepreneur-based support system support group; and Brand University (BU) a strategic branding seminar and course study program for anyone wanting to build or strengthen their brand.

In 2009 Dawn was named to the “25 Worth Watching in 2009” by The Dallas Weekly and the Dorethea N. Hornbuckle Business Entrepreneur Award by the Iota Phi Lambda Sorority Inc., Psi Chapter. Dawn is also an alumnus of Leadership Southwest Class of 2009 and Leadership Arts Class of 2010. Dawn is a native Hoosier from Indianapolis, Indiana and resides in Dallas with her son.
