Dawn Rodrigues
Bennington, VT
Let me introduce myself. I have a Ph.D. in English from Kent State University and a bachelor's degree in Education from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
My previous experiences include teaching at several colleges, including Colorado State University, the University of Texas at Brownsville, and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. I also worked as an instructional technology coordinator at Williamstown Elementary School (in Massachusetts) in the 1990s.
I have published various articles and textbooks on technology and writing and have served on the editorial board of the International Journal of Computers and Writing. I have been a member of the National Council of Tea;chers of English and the College Composition and Communication Conference for more than 30 years.
I retired from full-time teaching a few years ago; soon afterward, I began teaching online. It is such a pleasure to get to know the students in my classes and to keep up with many of the newest classroom technologies.
During the Spring, Summer, and Fall, I live in Bennington, Vermont, with my husband and our three animals (a dog and two cats). We have an old farmhouse that is hard to heat during the winter. That's why we decided to find a winter retreat. We chose Santa Fe, NM, where we still have winter, but with lots more sunshine than "back east." When we're in the Southwest, we enjoy exploring the outdoor world and traveling to California to visit our son and two tiny grandchildren who live in Mill Valley.
