Dayanna M. Reeves

Dayanna M. Reeves is a current undergraduate at The Pennsylvania State University, who is seeking a B.S. degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a double minor in Health Policy and Administration and Theatre. After graduation Dayanna plans to enroll in a MPH/Ph.D. graduate Program. Her career plans include conducting research, implementing intervention programs, with a focus on two areas: childhood obesity and HIV/AIDS.
Professionally, Dayanna’s past experience includes conducting research in the following areas: drug abuse, mental health and nutrition/public health. Dayanna’s research has been funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program, and The Ohio State University Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP). Dayanna has received funding to attend and present research at two National Conferences: Society for Research in Child Development and The National Association of African American Studies.
As an active student leader at The Pennsylvania State University Dayanna is currently the President of the Human Development & Family Studies Undergraduate Student Organization and the Co-Director of MLK Day of Service 2014. In these roles Dayanna is in charge of planning and implementing community service opportunities for students to be active and engaging in the State College community.
