D'Ayra Williams

Hi, I’m D'Ayra. I’m a student living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am a fan of music, dance, and cooking. I’m also interested in entrepreneurship and reading. I love to have fun and fully immerse myself in the moment so that I can really enjoy it.

I would like to double major in psychology and business management. With my Psychology degree I want to start off as a social worker and work my way up to working at some one therapist firm. My main goal is to eventually own a therapy Practice and working with celebrity clients. I believe a business management degree will help me run my therapy practice. On the other hand, I am also curious about other areas of entrepreneurship like creating a cosmetics line or owning a shopping mall. Ultimately, it is important for me to live life as a business owner so that I can live out all my different dreams instead of having to pick one.

One of the things I love to do is help others. It puts a smile on my face knowing that I have helped to put a smile on someone else's face. I am the person my friends come to for advice or just to vent. I go out my way to help. My most recent volunteer commitment was with a program called, “I Matter Philly”. It was a teen pregnancy prevention program that did workshops in schools and hosted events in the community to spread the word about safe sex and the types of service that health centers are capable of providing. I enjoyed the program because it allowed me to learn teamwork skills while also helping others by educating them. For me, helping others helps me.
