13 000 days — this is approximately how much time people have between the age of 50 and the beginning of old age, which today happens about 25— 30 years later than it has for the past generations.
13 000 days – it is essentially a brand new stage in people’s lives which simply did not exist before, the time when dreams can come true and utter inner freedom is possible. Many feel that this stage of life is much more fulfilling than the so-called youth: you have the energy, you have completed most of your social obligations, and you have gained precious life experience. And therefore, you can enjoy life to the fullest.

Concept and photography – Vladimir Yakovlev.
“13 000 Days is developed by the same team that brought to you “The Age of Happiness”, “Thats what I wanted and thats what I did” and “The older — the healthier”. All three books became bestsellers in the Russian-language market in 2013.
The characters for the interviews:
This project is about people who are thoroughly enjoying life after 50, more so than they did when they were younger. Their past experiences only lead them to a brighter, happier present. These people are not afraid to reinvent themselves and to pursue their dreams, feats they may have been unwilling or unable to accomplish earlier in their lives.
These are the people we invite to participate in our interviews and photo shoots.
Currently, in the world there are 600 million people who are 45 – 60 years old. 43 million of them live in Russia. Your personal story will help many of these people who still think that life ends at 50 look ahead with hope and optimism.
The result:
The book “13 000 Days” will be released in the fall of 2014. It will be widely distributed to Russian-speaking audiences around the world.
