I am a professional writer/translator who was born in Argentina but grew up in the U.S. In 2004, I returned to Argentina and began discovering Argentine writers who are not widely known in the U.S., mostly because their work hasn't been translated into English.

This blog is dedicated to introducing English-language readers to (mostly) contemporary Argentine writers. The posts here are English-language versions of short stories that, as far as I have been able to determine, have not been previously translated into English. At the end of each story, there is a pdf file for those who prefer to read these stories on an electronic device.

My intent is to introduce new readers to the world of contemporary Argentine literature. May this blog serve as your bridge across the language barrier.
