Musician and Student in San Bernardino, CA

Listen to my music

I am a percussionist and student currently living in San Bernardino, CA. My interests range from music to technology and often include both in one way or another. I aspire to be an audio engineer in the future working with recording film orchestras.

I have lived in Hesperia, CA for most of my life and attended almost all of my school there. I have been playing music since 4th grade, a total of nine years with experience in many groups. My mom and her siblings had a musical group in Mexico, Musical De Capri, which was a pretty good group. However, had to go their separate ways for various reason. Watching old video and hearing stories of this group has always fascinated not just because it was a good group, but it was my own family. I got inspired by them to "make it big" in my own life and make my family proud. It is true, music is in my blood.

My primary instrument is percussion, most of my studies have revolved around percussion, it is what I am best at. I started my journey playing violin in 4th grade then switched to saxophone, eventually, to clarinet, including bass clarinet, and ended up in percussion, from middle school to college. Percussion is something I am very passionate about and grew to love.

I was fortunate enough to have many amazing experiences that I am truly thankful for. I have done four years of marching band in high school, one year on marching bass drum, and three on marching snare. In those years of high school, I also did four seasons of indoor drumline, one year on marching bass drum, and three on marching snare. I was a student leader during my last two years of high school as percussion captain for both fall marching band and indoor drumline season. After three years of hard work and auditioning, I was able to be part of the Tournament of Roses Honor Band drumline, for the 2020 Rose Parade my senior year. I auditioned and was part of the High Desert Hight School Honor Band for three years in a row and 1st chair percussionist multiple years. During my senior year of high school, I also participated in the CSUSB honor band in the percussion section. Currently, I am a student at California State University, San Bernardino studying music.

I have earned many achievements through my time in high school, most are sentimental but mean a lot to me, such as being in the Rose Parde, and getting 1st chair in Honor Band groups. I am proud to say I was recipient of the Visual and Performing arts Department, honoree Medalion my senior year.
