Deborah Burwell

My name is Deborah Aletta Burwell. I am a 2009 graduate of North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology.

To further my education as well as my professional career, I am currently enrolled in the Executive Master of Public Administration Program at North Carolina Central University.

Currently, I am the National Office Manager and Life Member of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice. A non-profit organization comprised of criminal justice professionals and community leaders dedicated to the equal administration of justice for African Americans and other people of color.

Through my educational experience in the Executive Master of Public Administration Program, it is my goal to become the Executive Director for the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice.

One premise of the organization and its many chapters is service to the communities we live in.

I am actively involved with mentoring and until recently, I was a mentor for Instepp, Inc, a community-based organization helping at risk adult women and adolescent girls.

I hope this information will give you insight as to who I am.

I am excited to see where the journey leads me.......
