New York, New York, United States
I was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Long Island. I currently have been living in NYC for 5 years -- and I still have so many restaurants to try!
I'm a creative, visual thinker. I love abstract painting, collage-making and from-scratch cooking. I am also quite active-- let's just say, it's hard for me to stay inside all weekend! My default is running, biking, and skiing in the winter.
As a local, the New York community means a lot to me! You can often find me volunteering at children's cooking classes with City Harvest, or teaching financial literacy to disadvantaged youth with the High Water Women foundation.
After graduating college, I worked in investment banking and private equity, but found my calling in healthy foods while working with vegan retailer Organic Avenue. I finally understand all the hype about green juice! I also realized I was ready to transition to a natural foods career.
I delved into research, books and food events on the subject. I found myself passionate and energized for the cause of natural and better-for-you foods. I believe that the industry is going to experience a major wave of innovation and I want to be a major part of it!
