Danielle Coffyn
I was born in Belgium, and I grew up speaking French with my father. We moved to the United States when I was seven, and I was determined to remain bilingual. I took every French course I could in school, and I was a French major in college.
I love to travel, and I love sharing my love of Francophone culture with my students. I strive to teach them that French is a global language that extends far beyond the borders of France and how fluency in multiple languages opens many doors in their future.
This is my sixth year teaching at TFS, and my second year teaching third grade. I find third graders are inquisitive, thoughtful, and funny. I look forward to working with this year's students as they strengthen their foundations in literacy and math, become increasingly comfortable communicating in French, and learn to answer open-ended questions through inquiry and problem solving.
