DC Yeager
June 15th 1979 rose the sun of Gemini, which shined heavenly over David “DC” Yeager Jr. Raised as an only child on the Southside of Youngstown, Ohio, DC would undergo tremendous experiences of critically thinking out his life ambition of becoming the next musical sensation. Most teenagers his age struggled with homework and growing pains. DC would spend countless hours singing his heart out at clubs, showcase events etc. In an interview with ConcreteLoop.com, DC said, “At sixteen I knew I was going to be a singer. I just knew it.”
DC’s influences range from Brian McKnight, Boyz II Men, Jodeci, Color Me Badd, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Shai, and Babyface. Although he was in several R&B groups, DC’s pivotal turning point in the music industry was with the group "Youngstown." The group released two albums under Hollywood records. “The ups and downs…every moment is a turning point for me. You might not see it yet, but everything that happens to you, good or bad, you learn a great deal about yourself from the experience,” Yeager said.
Recently signed to the Asian powerhouse label Avex, DC’s long awaited debut solo album holds Grammy award singer/songwriter Ne-Yo as its main collaborator. “Co-writing with Shaffer always seems to bring the best out of me. I’m fortunate to say I have worked with such a talent.” Production duties for the album were primarily handled by Poli Paul ( Brandy, Christina Milian, Omarion), The Insomniax (JoJo, Bobby Valentino, Boyz II Men) & Norwegian newcomers, BigCity.
"My goal with my music is to have people listen to my album and say…’that’s an amazing record.’ I want my music to be a timeless classic, something that can be enjoyed 20 years from now."
