David Dejewski is a business advisor, entrepreneur, veteran, podcast host, and lifelong student of how people, organizations, and capital come together to create value.

Today, David serves as Managing Director of Transworld Business Advisors of Central Maryland, where he works with owners, buyers, and investors in the sale, acquisition, valuation, financing, and strategic positioning of small and lower-middle-market businesses. He is also the host of the M&A Source Podcast, engaging professionals from across the M&A community in conversations about dealmaking, markets, leadership, and the craft of advisory work.

His path to M&A has been anything but linear. David's career has included military service, serving as CIO for Navy Medical Logistics, leading Defense Business Transformation initiatives for the Military Health System, and working in commercial real estate investment banking and capital structuring. Along the way, he has built businesses, led teams, advised entrepreneurs, chaired a nonprofit organization, coached youth sports, and created media designed to turn complex ideas into useful conversations.

A recurring theme throughout David's career is connecting the dots. He is drawn to complicated problems, multidisciplinary thinking, and situations where strategy, finance, people, and execution intersect.

Outside the deal world, David is a longtime coach and advocate for youth sports, creator and host of The Soccer Sidelines podcast, and an unapologetic lifelong learner. His interests have taken him from competitive swimming and an 8.2-mile open-water swim with members of Navy SEAL Team 4 to aviation, scuba diving, emergency medicine, martial arts, backcountry hiking, and amateur radio.

Whether advising a business owner, interviewing an M&A professional, coaching a team, or pursuing the next subject that catches his curiosity, David's philosophy remains fairly simple: keep learning, solve worthwhile problems, serve people well, and leave things better than you found them.
