Darragh Delaney

Hi i'm Darragh, I'm a student in TUS Athlone and i study physical education studies.

I am a passionate and motivated student of Physical Education with a lifelong interest in sport and physical activity. I believe that staying active is vital for everyone, as it supports not only physical health but also mental wellbeing and social connection.

My enthusiasm for sport has guided my goal of becoming a PE teacher, where I can inspire others to value movement and teamwork as much as I do. Gaelic football is my main sport, and through it, I’ve developed a strong appreciation for cooperation, inclusion, and personal growth both on and off the field. I have gained hands-on experience by volunteering with my local GAA club coaching underage teams and by working at the TUS Arena coaching athletics to young athletes.

My peers describe me as a strong communicator and team player, qualities I bring to every environment I’m part of. Looking ahead, I aspire to combine my passion for sport and education to make a lasting impact as a PE teacher and GAA coach.
