Born and raised on a fruit farm in Kalamazo (yes, it's true, there actually is a Kalamazoo) county, Michigan. Still loving fruit but have added books, Lake Michigan, and early morning walks to the list of favorite things. Married to my high school sweetheart and will have celebrated nearly a half-century together.
