Dead Star

DEADSTAR: COMPLETE BIOGRAPHY AND DISCOGRAPHY

"A Raw and Powerful pop voice"

"Reincarnation of 80s pop"

"A musical journey between the 60s and the 80s with current sounds"

Deadstar, originally named Enrico Petrelli, began his artistic career as a dj for Radio Radio and Rai International.

He presently lives in Rome and Paris, working as a music producer and singer-songwriter in Italian, English and French.

He produced Amanda Lear's trilogy "Brief Encounters" (Warner) and duetted with her on lead single "Someone Else's Eyes", the first time Amanda has sung and co-starred in a video with an artist who was, at the time, emerging.

The single was remixed by Boy George, who presented it during a concert in Rome in front of 10.000 people. On that occasion Rolling Stone published a picture of an ironic and yet torrid provocative kiss between Boy George and Deadstar.

Amanda Lear defined Deadstar "the new Peter Gabriel" because of his multifaceted talents and likened his vocal range to Mika's.

Deadstar records "Deadstar sings Jackson", a cd of acoustic covers arranged with Primiano di Base (Dire Straits' pianist), for Just Good Music. The cd features the new track "Huh" (Netswork), arranged by Nerio Poggi (aka Papik), Mario Biondi's first collaborator, and remixed by The House Keepers.

In 2012 Deadstar opens up to pop-dance and releases a number of electro-pop singles in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. "You Touch My Love" (feat. Alexxxia), a song that confirmed his growing success, is among these singles. The song's video has received many hits on YouTube and reminds of a long kiss a la Wahrol the director.

In 2013 Deadstar releases the new song "I'm No More Impressed" (France, Italy, World for iTunes), taken from the album of the same name: the song commands attention for the 60s influenced pop sound and for a vocal performance that, as Amanda noted, requires a very extended range. The European album contains 14 songs in English with some bonus tracks in French, German and Spanish.

Among Deadstar's other productions we find Tina Charles' "Your Love Is My Light" (Dance, UK) and Pepy Rap's "Sentimenti Negativi" (Rap, Italy).
