Professional
In September of 2011, I was accepted into the Year Up Program, a partner of Northern Virginia Community College. There I studied Information Technology for six months. Going through this program, I came to the realization that "Info Tech" just wasn't a professional fit for me, and became lost on the next steps I'd take in my career after finished. However, I not once regretted my time there. I was given a free opportunity to hone my skillsets in business communication and writing, finance, computers, amongst a host of other things that would benefit me in the future. I also established alot of new connections.
My internship was the start of where I am today! After my six month in house training, Year Up provided me with a six month internship working at AOL (America Online) as a Project Administrator. Working in the corperate sector was of course...different and nerve wrecking for a first timer, but I grew to love it. My experience at AOL made me realize that the corperate sector is where i want to be which leads me to where I currently am today.
I am a candidate for a Bachelor's of Business Administration at The University of the District of Columbia. :)
Personal
I've always dreamed of becoming a model, actress and or dancer. How does that pertain to a business degree? Well I'm going to need one if I plan on opening a performing arts school for children and young adults one day!
In my free time I love to read urban novels. (I even want to write one one day!), travel, hang with family and friends, work, and watch my favorite movies and tv shows on specified nights. Im very open to new ideas and learning, have a go getter attitude, and believe that life is what you make of it. Im always looking for a way to better myself both in my professional and personal life.
