A dentist for more than 23 years, Dr. Deanna Alevizos has focused the past 18 years of her practice on oral health care for children. She serves as a pediatric dentist with Metro Dentalcare in Burnsville, Minnesota, where she treats patients from infancy through adolescence.

Experienced in diagnosing and managing a variety of dental and oral conditions, including cavities and gum disease, Dr. Deanna Alevizos also works to prevent diseases of the mouth through regular examinations, cleaning, and fluoride treatment as well as nutrition counseling for patients and parents. For her youngest patients, Dr. Deanna Alevizos offers thorough early interventions that include an oral health exam and cavity risk assessment. Dr. Alevizos also offers education and counseling on issues such as nutrition, thumb-sucking, and pacifier use.

Dr. Deanna Alevizos earned her DDS from the University of Minnesota, which she attended following receipt of her bachelor of arts in business from the University of North Dakota where she earned induction into the National Honors Society for Academic Achievement. Dr. Alevizos went on to complete a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry, through which she developed an in-depth knowledge of the dental development and care for children including children with special needs.

Dr. Alevizos also offers education and counseling on issues such as nutrition, thumb-sucking, and pacifier use. She continues her focus on prevention throughout childhood, and performs early evaluations for orthodontic issues, such as crooked teeth or an improper bite. Similarly committed to regular tracking of tooth and gum health, she offers fillings and periodontal disease management as well as the correction of dental injuries.

Dr. Alevizos completed her pediatric dental residency in 2000 as president of her class. Continuing to prioritize her pediatric dental practice with a high quality of patient care, she received the Best Pediatric Dentist honor from Minnesota Monthly in 2016.
