Dean Oxenham

Part entrepreneur, part wine lover, Dean-David Oxenham heads up export and sales for Mauritius’ largest producer of wine, liqueurs and spirits. His vertically integrated family business, E.C. Oxenham & Cy Ltd, also operates retail stores and has rapidly expanded into India and the Indian Ocean rim.

A great cocktail depends on the mix, and Dean-David is lucky to have a family that has combined an entrepreneurial maternal German side with four generations of Mauritian wine and spirits pioneers.

Travelling the world from a young age, he developed a critical eye for business and has lived, worked and studied in several countries. He has a degree in Business Entrepreneurship from Australia and USA, and a Masters in Wine Business, Burgundy, France.

Dean-David is always looking for innovative products, concepts and ideas, especially those that can be developed through franchises, partnerships or joint ventures. To that end, his family business has recently expanded to India in a joint venture with an Indian firm for the production of wine and fruit wine.
