Dean Pinney

I currently live in Columbus, Ohio and have for the past five years. I was born in the Four Corners area on the Navajo reservation; however, I spent most of my childhood in Central New Mexico and Southeast Texas. Before moving here, we lived in El Paso, Texas. I am married to my college sweetheart Lisa who works as an international accounting agent for her company. We have four fantastic children (3 boys ages 22, 20, 18; 1 girl age 15) and two dogs. My three sons are adults, the oldest is interested in joining the fire academy; the second is finishing his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and will pursue his master’s degree in Political Science, then his Juris Doctorate. He is a Collegiate National Forensics Debate Champion. My third son begins his college education this fall as an International Culinary Arts Major, studying abroad for half of the year, then stateside for half of the year as a continuing of the culinary training that he has had for the past two years. He will get his bachelor’s degree in international hospitality with a specialization in international foods. My daughter plans to study forensic psychology and work in the criminal investigation field. I earned my bachelors degree at Dallas Christian College, my associate’s degree in Fire Fighting and EMS at Dona Ana Community College/NMSU, and my master’s degree in Psychology at the University of Phoenix. I am currently finishing up my Doctorate degree from the University of the Rockies, in Psychology with a specialization in Organizational Leadership: Executive Coaching. I am an ordained Pastor for 26 years, and I am certified Marriage and Family Counselor. I am Fire Fighter II certified and Level 6 HAZMAT certified. I am a certified EMT-I air evac/rescue and a vehicle extraction expert. In my spare time I love to write poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and religious material. I have written several books already and am working on several others currently. I love cars and car shows, so I find any excuse to take one of my kids to a car show. My daughter and I love to detail cars for relaxation. So we have neighbors who love us because we just do it for the thrill of taking something old and making it new again together. My wife is the most amazing singer that I have ever heard; in fact, she is my favorite artist. I love write songs just so she can sing them to me.
