Jumping out of architecture school in Bozeman, Montana I am splitting my time between the backroads of the Western US the chaos of Kathmandu and the calm of trails of the Nepal Himalaya.

In the remote Sherpa village of Phortse, Nepal I am working as the construction superintendent for the Khumbu Climbing Center building, a passively heated and sysmically safe building to house the Alex Lowe Charitable Foundation's school focused to increasing the safety margin of high-altitude workers in a supportive and community based environment.

When I am not designing, building, or on a(n) airplane / rickshaw / mountainI am probably ________________________________.

  • getting lost
  • sketching / drawing / doodling
  • out and about with my camera
  • learning Nepali
  • taking things apart (and occasionally putting them back together)
