I've been working in full-time software engineering roles since 2000 and for many years and a couple of jobs prior to that was responsible for web and Internet infrastructure services in sys-admin roles on both Unix and Windows platforms. I've been working pretty much exclusively with open-source technologies on the server side for much of that time. Perl, PHP, MySQL, Linux, Apache, Python, Zope, Java, XSLT, Flash/Actionscript and of course JavaScript/TypeScript & NodeJS.
