Chelsea Hamshaw

Hi, I'm Chelsea Hamshaw. I live in Georgetown, South Carolina with my husband Jason and son, Ben. I spend most of my days finding the balance between chasing Ben and chasing the perfect picture. I love to write music, act, play Settlers of Catan, and most of all take people's photographs. I was born in Western Pennsylvania, raised in Central California, and am raising my own family in the deep South. With the many types of people I have known, I have found there to be two overarching truths that apply to them all. One, that we are all in need of a Savior and two, each person has a story to tell and a memory worth keeping.

My love of art is as old as I am.. Photography is the outlet for my desire to create. I love finding what it is about a person that makes them who they are, and creating a picture that will communicate that individual's beauty. My field is in Natural Light Portrait Photography. I believe that there is something in natural light that can't be recreated in any studio. I am honored to record people's memories, and strive to create something that they feel truly represents them.
