Dea Star

I have been crafting ever since I was little. My father always supported my craft adventures and loved what I created. Now I make lots more things and always trying new things since now I have my younger sister who encourages me. I am inspired by Japanese culture, old 80's cartoons (My Little Pony, Popples, and more) and just anything cute! I like to use polymer clay, resin, fabric, and much more.

I have been attending conventions since 2002 and only having one costume a year. Thanks to more conventions and monthly meet-ups popping up in the NW I have been able to do more with cosplay. Only in the last few years (2009) have I been pressuring cosplay more (doing about 3-5 costumes a year).

I picked up the camera back in 2009 and fell in love with it. I am self taught since I can not afford school. I have started two photography businesses, one for cosplay, NW Cosplay, and one for other type of photography, Dea Star Photography. I have self-published a book with blurb for NW Cosplay and I am working on another one. I hope that one day I can afford some schooling and one day to own my own studio. For right now I do personal shoots on location and charge on a sliding scale.
