Deborah L. Mockus

Deborah has a Masters Degree from Springfield College, Springfield, Mass. in Leisure Services Administration and has over 30 years in the Parks & Recreation profession, 20 years of which have been at the Director level administering the delivery of leisure services to communities of various sizes. Under her direction she has led two large county agency's in Georgia to be awarded "Agency Of The Year" by the Georgia Recreation & Parks Association (GRPA); was elected President of GRPA; has served on the GRPA Board of Directors; and served on the National Recreation & Parks Association Regional Council; and has been a Certified Parks & Recreation Professional.

A native of Massachusetts, she moved to Georgia from Connecticut in 1996, to further her career in Parks & Recreation. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, cruising the country roads on her Softail Deluxe HD with her friends, running, hiking, swimming and gardening.

Currently she's the City Administrator for the City of Arcade, Jefferson, Georgia, furthering her interest in City Management, a position she has held since 2008
