Debra Grady

Greetings!

Hello, I'm Debra. I live in Nesconset, New York and I am the mother of two children, a son and daughter and the grandmother of two grandsons, ages 20 and 24.

My oldest grandson attended UAlbany and is a world photographer. My youngest grandson is autistic and very smart. He has a couple of part-time jobs that he really enjoys. He loves to swim and the ocean.

I started a whole new career after I turned 65 and I am looking forward to retiring in 10 years and starting my own business! I work full-time as a recruiter in Human Resources in the Nursing industry. I still fill-in for vacations, sick time, etc. in the Mental Health/Drug & Alcohol field.

I am passionate about working for the Lord and I was the secretary to our Missions Board and corresponded with 10 missionaries all over the world. I also oversaw a Writing Ministry for prisoners'. and had a weekly entertainment ministry for the elderly in assisted living. As my Pastor's secretary I was instrumental in the organizational and planning projects for the church.

A couple of years ago, in my spare time, I worked as a Developmental Editor (from the "idea stage" to the final manuscript) on my first book for my dearest friend. Her book "Return to First Love" was published June 2017. I also enjoy designing business cards, flyers, brochures and marketing materials for my family and friends.

My interest in travel stems from my father being in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. He retired from both branches after almost 40 years of service. I was blessed with the opportunity to live overseas in Germany, Italy and Thailand. In the United States I lived and worked in Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas, California, New Mexico, Nevada and the last twenty years on Long Island, New York.
