Deborah Wiles Devlin
Lecturer in Mathematics in Maryland
Encouraging others through education to discover the joy of living confidently, I teach undergraduate mathematics at Frostburg State University. I also teach writing and math in a year round TRIO program for financially challenged and first-generation college bound students. I view higher education as an instrument for building character and expanding opportunities, and infuse this principle into my interactions with students of all ages. Outside the classroom, I enjoy researching and writing in theology and mathematics education, reading and writing poetry and other non-fiction, and, with my husband, hiking, bicycling, and traveling as often as possible.
