Deborah Bastidas

Offering consultations, evaluations, and therapy for speech disorders and oral-motor deficiencies, Deborah Bastidas and Associates has served the community of Houston, Texas, since 1998. After working as a Speech-Language Pathologist for over three decades in the Houston metropolitan area, Ms. Bastidas established her own practice in order to offer a full range of services for patients throughout the region. Today, she continues to offer consultations for other healthcare professionals while acting as the principal of Deborah Bastidas and Associates. The professional staff at Deborah Bastidas and Associates possess years of industry experience and receive further training regularly. Ms. Bastidas has a Bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders and a Master's degree in Speech Pathology. To extend service to more patients, Ms. Bastidas studied language while pursuing her graduate degree and also holds a second Bachelor's degree in Spanish. The practice also provides treatment for patients with oral-motor deficiencies or neurogenic disorders, such as those caused by head trauma or stroke. Furthermore, Deborah Bastidas and Associates utilizes the innovative VitalStim Therapy System, which is applied to the exterior of the neck during swallowing to help alleviate the symptoms of dysphagia.
