Growing old is not for the faint of heart. Neither is the journey through the last years of your mother's life. It's a difficult journey, and you should only pack what you need in your suitcase, because you will collect a lot of souvenirs along the way.
This memoir chronicles the story of my fiercely independent mother's journey through her twilight years, and my own journey of survival though my faith, after my mother's death. With a bit of humor thrown in every so often!
How can there be humor? Because no matter what life hands us, we must find the beauty and joy in between the chapters of pain and sorrow. This is where our faith is put to the test. And we complete the journey with precious souvenirs of our memories.
We gladly share these, so others will understand that the end is not the end. It's merely, "See you later!"
