Deborah Simon

Education is my chosen career, though I've had varied experiences as well. I taught for ten years in California and Washington State in almost every grade. I was also a corporate paralegal for both public and private, for-profit and not-for profit companies specializing in corporate governance.

I am currently obtaining a Masters in Education with an emphasis in Gifted Education and working with national, state, and local educational groups.

I have served on NKSD's Community Financial Advisory Committee and Highly Capable Committee and am a board member and Corporate Governance Chair for Northwest Gifted Child Association.

My primary goal is to make education about the student. Each student should be given the tools to reach his or her potential, whatever they may be.
