Hello I am Deborah, I grew up in California, graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. After college, I did a little acting and directing and taught theater. I moved to Puerto Rico where I studied photography at the University of Puerto Rico. I have been working as a photographer and studying photography ever since. I started in the darkroom in 1996 and went on to digital in 2002. I was attracted to photography because it allowed me to create stories with photographs, and mixed media that was my fine art period, then I got into portraiture, I love photographing people but mostly women. At times I have gotten away from the "idea", I would like to return to a more conceptualized work. I am a bit blocked at the moment, I know that I need a new project. I am super excited to be writing a blog!
