Vernon, Iowa, where she received a dual degree in Biology and Art. She later attended Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ames, Iowa, where she studied to become a veterinarian.
Over the years, Deborah Y. Strauss D.V.M has served as a living testimony that passion, dedication and hard work are the three vital forces for creating the foundation for success. She treats both dogs and cats with cancer, practices equine ophthalmology and equine recurrent uveitis, and works with other animals, such as rodents and goats. Deborah Y. Strauss also specializes in euthanization house calls, allowing pets the chance to die peacefully in their own homes and surrounded by their loved ones.
When she is not working as a veterinarian, Deborah Y. Strauss loves to make beautiful works of art. She mostly uses charcoal and watercolors, but also practices photography at times. Deborah’s passion for art began at the early age of five, at the same time as her passion for animals, and she has been drawing and painting ever since. Two of her favorite artists are Claude Monet and George Ennis, who she admires for their expertise and beauty through the use of watercolors.
