Ex-banker now a Behavioural Coach, Trainer, Personal Finance Mentor!

Many a times, people ask me, what made me leave my banking job? There is no easy answer. There is no one answer.

There are too many advisors around. Many, I feel, are either life insurance agents or mutual fund advisors. I could see a huge gap in the field of Financial Advisory during my professional career and thought it would be the best option for me to chip in.

A Financial Mentor to me is a complete package! Someone who can guide his/her clients, handhold and coach them on financial matters - be it investments or insurance, loans or credit card debt management or property, or be it banking or taxation or retirement planning. And I do have the credentials to advice my clients on all these aspects (except taxation for which we have an in-house tax planner for guidance).

But did I jump into this only because I wanted to fill the void? Not really.

I simply did not want to continue with a 6 days a week regular job where someone else decides how much would be your take home salary every next year. And because you are bored but have money, you get married, buy a house and a car and keep paying EMIs. So I was looking at ways to get rid of my job.

I looked at the work of some of the well known advisors and financial planners in India over internet. And even those abroad. And that gave me confidence in my own quality of work ( I always wanted to give solutions to my client's problems while at bank and not just sell recommended products for my organization). Some are pure advisors and successful; some are pure sellers and still successful. The former attracted me more!!

That was the start. Over time, people recognized the value that I was bringing to their financial lifestyle. With a more professional approach towards investments and other financial aspects, we offer our services to a client base of over 150 and we haven't yet completed even one year!
