Debra M. Fish, Psy.D.
Prior to establishing Fish Executive Leadership Group, Dr. Fish served as director of tGCP, a delivering individual and team development solutions and leading strategy advance initiatives for Fortune 500 clients. Dr. Fish earlier spent several years working in corporate management, and heading her own consulting practice, again focusing on the needs of large corporate clients. Dr. Fish honed her consulting approach during 17 years of working with individuals, teams and entire organizations to maximize performance. She uses a variety of interventions in her work, including executive development for both individual and groups; multi-level assessment; executive team development; and onboarding. Her clients represent multiple industries including Fortune 50 and Fortune 500 clients in retail, financial services, hospital systems, payment reconciliation, publishing, higher education, manufacturing, distribution, aviation, entertainment, IT and legal services. She has consulted in a wide range of contexts, including closely-held businesses, nonprofits, professional service firms, and public corporations. Dr. Fish has extensive training in rigorous diagnostic and assessment techniques and uses those to help clients identify strengths as well as development opportunities. Her work focuses on helping individuals and organizations leverage those strengths while, at the same time, minimizing liabilities in order to realize their full potential. Her expertise is grounded in her training in human behavior: how to measure it, how to understand it, and how to optimize it. Dr. Fish has a deep interest in the factors that enable women to become strong leaders. She has served as Chair of the Women on Corporate Boards committee established by CABLE, a networking organization for professional women in Tennessee. She also has served on the board of ION, a national consortium of women’s professional organizations focused on increasing the number of women in executive suites and on corporate boards. Currently, Dr. Fish chairs the board of the Mental Health Association of Middle Tennessee and is a member of the Women Business Leaders in the U.S. Health Care Industry Foundation and
