Debra Reichert

Having the opportunity to deeply connect with children daily has brought so much joy to my life! I discovered teaching as a second career, but soon realised I had landed in a profession that fit me perfectly. I have been an educator for the past 19 years. I received my English degree and Educational license at the University of Northern Colorado. My career has included teaching children from 1st through 5th grades. In addition to my responsibilities as a classroom teacher, I have created curriculum for districts, supervised many student teachers, and sat on many leadership committees. My career has provided me the opportunity to teach children in very diverse public and private schools in the United States and internationally, but my passion and strengths are the classroom culture I create with my students. My primary goal is to train other educators to create a safe and nurturing environment, where the members of the community feel included and loved. I have used the Peace Circle process successfully to establish this goal throughout my career.
